Elon Musk Blocks Santa’s Tracker on Twitter

In a true Elon Musk fashion, and to the great disappointment of children worldwide, the new owner of Twitter abruptly blocked Santa’s Twitter account, which had shared the realtime location of Santa on the well-known Santa’s Tracker ran by NORAD.

“I have been very clear about this,” Musk tweeted, ” pointing to his new policy, “Doxxing rules apply to everyone, including Santa.”

Asked whether Santa sharing his own location counts as “doxxing”, Musk replied, “I am an absolutist. I don’t make exceptions.”

It is unclear why Musk made an exception only a few days earlier, when he himself shared his own location when he tweeted in realtime that he was attending the World Cup 2022 Final at Lusail Stadium in Qatar.

Asked about that, Musk did not reply, but shortly after, he Tweeted a poll:

“Unsuspend Santa — now or in 7 days?”
